Where Myrtle Meets Modern

In Morganville, NJ, this homeowner had a clear vision: keep what works, update what doesn’t. As a local siding contractor, we helped bring that vision to life without starting from scratch. The house was fully wrapped in synthetic house wrap and rigid foam insulation to prep for a new Norandex® Performance siding system. On the second story and front elevation, we installed vertical 7″ Board & Batten siding in Myrtle Green for a bold look. The first story sides and rear were finished with 5″ Clapboard, creating contrast while keeping a consistent color throughout. The existing black trim around newer windows was kept, per the homeowner’s request, while we replaced door and basement window trim with matching black. A touch of stone siding was added to the front entry wall, with space set aside to reattach the flag bracket using longer masonry screws. Black soffit, garage trim, and weatherstripping helped tie all the new elements together. The white AZEK trim around the triple window stayed in place, keeping part of the home’s original character. This siding project was less about removing everything and more about working smart—with a focus on blending styles, saving materials, and finishing with a clean, unified look.
