Blending Stone, Style, and Smart Siding
In Old Bridge, NJ, this project was all about combining smart updates with long-term protection. As a local siding contractor, we removed the old wood shake siding on the front and aluminum on the front peak and rear sunroom to expose the wood sheathing beneath. We kept the asbestos siding on the sides and rear, as previously discussed with the homeowner. For insulation, we added Polar WeatherAll XL Clear/Foil Fanfold before installing new Norandex® 5″ Dutchlap siding in Wedgewood Blue. White trim, soffits, and outside corners helped frame everything cleanly. Raised panel shutters in black added contrast and tied the look together. On the rear sunroom, we removed a storm door and window near the main house, framed it out, added plywood, and finished it with new siding. The interior was left open with wood studs for the homeowner to complete later. At the entryway, we installed Versetta Stone® Tight-Cut in Mission Point, covering the left wall and wrapping around the front door. This siding replacement brought structure, comfort, and curb appeal together—proving that thoughtful planning makes all the difference.
