DO STONE PANEL SYSTEMS NEED JOINTS MORTARED?
No. Each panel provides a stacked stone appearance where it looks as though all the stone edges are touching. Panel joints are required to be open to allow for expansion and contraction as well as moisture to escape.
WHAT IS THE MATERIAL DIFFERENCE BETWEEN COMPOSITE, MANUFACTURED, & NATURAL STONE?
Composite stone is made from a polymer similar to vinyl siding, manufactured stone is made from a heavy concrete aggregate, and natural stone is real rock mined from the earth.
HOW CAN YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MANUFACTURED AND NATURAL STONE?
While most homeowners will not be able to tell between the two types, to a trained eye the difference is close up in the detail. When looking closely at a natural stone, there are many tiny unique traits that simply cannot be replicated.
