Coastal Roofing Excellence
In a coastal area, it’s crucial to have a strong and long-lasting roof. That’s why we chose Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration® Shingles in Onyx Black color, which also resist algae growth. We began this roof replacement by taking off all the old materials, so we could see the plywood underneath. This lets us replace any damaged pieces and create a strong base for the new roofing system.
To make sure the roof stays in great shape, we added Owens Corning VentSure Rigid Roll for better airflow. We installed a Perma Vent Pipe Boot to seal around pipes securely, so there are no leaks. Plus, we included a Broan Bathroom Exhaust Vent to improve the air inside the house. Because Monmouth Beach’s coastal air can be harsh, we used special stainless steel ring shank roofing nails. These nails are needed because regular galvanized roofing nails can rust from the salty air, but stainless-steel ones won’t.
