Cottage-Inspired Deck Makeover

We recently completed a deck replacement in Ocean Township, NJ. The existing wood railings, decking, and old joist configuration were completely removed to make way for new, modern systems. To ensure structural integrity, we installed new engineered lumber joists with 12″ on center spacing. The staircase was modified with new stringers, and the landing received an update to match the new design.

The primary and perimeter deck colors are both Cottage, complemented by white railings and square spindles. We added standard-size diamond-shaped lattice skirting in white to conceal the area beneath the deck, providing a clean and polished look. The project also included new white trim, enhancing the overall aesthetic and functionality of the deck in Ocean Township.
