This roof replacement in Middletown Township, NJ was quite extensive. This roof installation project started with the complete removal of all old roofing materials on both the main house and the back playhouse. For the playhouse, the cedar shingles were removed, and 1/2″ CDX plywood was installed to create a solid new roof surface. We used Owens Corning TruDefinition Duration® Shingles in Onyx Black to ensure a durable finish on both the main house and the playhouse. All ventilation and flashings were replaced, and we addressed the missing aluminum trim on the right side triangular peak, as well as replacing the rake trim and capping where the chimney was located. The metal chimney/furnace pipes and attic fan cap were sprayed with Rustoleum High Heat black spray paint to prevent rust and blend with the new black vent pipes.
Additionally, the entire gutter system was replaced, featuring new white gutters with perforated metal gutter guards for effective leaf protection.
