Beautiful Two-Story Deck

For this project we went out to Colts Neck, New Jersey, and transformed this home’s deck to a Driftwood color, complemented by Black railings and Driftwood railing tops. White was chosen for the risers, fascia, skirting, and columns, creating a clean and cohesive look. We also took care of the replacement of various components, including decking, railings, steps, risers, fascia, skirting, and columns for both the main and second-story decks. Additionally, existing wood built-ins like seats, planters, and cabinets were removed and replaced with new ones, and an Azek PVC wrap was applied below the table top and cabinet. LED lighting was integrated into the stair risers for enhanced safety, and new AZEK white PVC skirting was installed to enclose the underside of the deck. Notably, the decorative boxed-out wood grid beneath the deck was eliminated, and new railings secured with metal structural posts were introduced around the perimeter, featuring a matching deck-top drink rail. Furthermore, structural improvements were made to the second-story deck, with the replacement of the 8′ support post and the addition of AZEK solid white PVC to safeguard the wood structural posts.

This renovation project involved a complete overhaul of the deck’s appearance and functionality, with careful attention to color coordination, lighting, and structural enhancements. The result is a visually appealing and durable outdoor space that meets the customer’s preferences and practical needs, ensuring a long-lasting and aesthetically pleasing deck for years to come.
