From Old Wood to Clean Lines

This siding replacement was all about bringing new life to a home that needed a fresh start. The plan was simple: remove the old siding and give it the upgrade it deserved. As a local siding contractor, we took it down to the wood sheathing to make sure the new system had a solid base. From there, we wrapped the house with synthetic underlayment and added Polar WeatherAll XL insulation panels to boost energy efficiency. The homeowner chose Norandex® 5″ Clapboard in Cactus, and we finished it off with white trim, soffit, and corners for a clean, finished look. Around the doors and windows, we installed wide PVC-coated aluminum trim in a picture frame style—except where brick made it unnecessary. The porch got some love too. We removed the old decorative wood trim, boxed in the support posts with Azek PVC, and added base mouldings to pull it all together. This home in Marlboro, NJ now feels more put together, without losing the character that makes it unique. It’s a great example of how a siding installation contractor can help homeowners make thoughtful, lasting changes.
