Optimal Ventilation For This Gable Roof
For this project, our first step was the complete removal of all existing roofing materials to expose the wood decking, ensuring a solid foundation for the new roofing system. While no ridge vent was applicable due to the gable vented style house, we took extra steps to maintain optimal ventilation. The roofing system was then installed using high-quality Estate Gray shingles from Owens Corning, offering both durability and appeal. Complementing the new roof, white gutters were installed, adding a clean and elegant finish to this roof replacement in Middletown Township, NJ.
We opted to keep the existing attic fan, enhancing its appearance with a fresh coat of Rustoluem High Heat paint. Additionally, as a courtesy to the customer, we caulked the glass to the frame of the skylight for added protection and re-secured two loose fascia cappings.
