CAN I REPLACE MY SIDING WITH STONE?
Yes. Regardless if you already have siding that you would like to replace with stone, or a bare concrete foundation wall that you would like to cover, Home Makeover™ has a solution that will work best for your home.
ARE YOU ABLE TO INSTALL STONE IN THE WINTER?
Yes. Composite and manufactured stone are panelized stone solutions that do not require cement to secure to the home and can be installed any time of the year. Real natural stone however, does require temperatures to be above freezing for a proper installation so the cement can fully cure.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NATURAL STONE VENEER AND MANUFACTURED STONE VENEER?
Natural stone comes from the earth and is shipped from rock quarries around the world. These stones are completely unique as no two are alike. The processing, delivery, supply, and time it takes to install natural stone veneers is what makes this option so expensive. Manufactured stone veneer however, is created from molds of the same natural stone. They are made out of a concrete aggregate material which is strong and heavy. The surface seen is then dyed in multiple colors giving homeowners many options to choose the one that goes best to update their home. Manufactured stone veneer is less expensive than natural stone, can be installed in a fraction of the time, and provides homeowners with a beautiful solution for years to come while increasing their property value.
HOW IS MANUFACTURED STONE OR COMPOSITE STONE INSTALLED?
Both manufactured and composite stone options are panelized solutions. The stones are secured to the wall surface using hidden galvanized fasteners so no cement or masonry steps are required for installation.
DO I NEED TO SEAL THE STONE SURFACE AFTER THEY ARE INSTALLED?
While it is not necessary for composite stone or manufactured stone, it is recommended that natural stone be sealed as preventative maintenance for the longest lasting outcome.
